Ayyy where my Virgo's at?! Sun, Moon, Rising? Where is Virgo in your chart?

Before anything else, let me do a shout out to my Virgo soul sister.

I've been blessed with a Virgo best friend, who's kept my crazy Pisces sun, Leo moon, Leo Rising ass grounded for the past 15 years and she's turning 30 this year!!!

What a gift she is to my life. It's a time to celebrate! Happy Birthday Ray <3

From August 22 - September 22, the sun moves into the mutable Earth sign, Virgo.

There's something so relaxing about this time of year.

After your Leo season (aka just one gigantic party in the sun) hangover's over...we're kind of forced to look around and think to ourselves, "Eh...maybe we should get our shit together?" Juuuuust a tad ;)

The weather gets cooler. The leaves start to change. Yay! Sweater weather! School starts. Oh yeah, it's a whole vibe. Virgo's rule the 6th house, which is about health, routine, wellness, and being of service to others. But, always make sure you are of service to yourself first.

They also rule your gut & digestive system, associated with the Solar Plexus Chakra, which is all about taking inspired action based off what your body is communicating to you (your internal compass). So, maybe a juice cleanse or digital detox to flush out the toxins within your body (and your life) can help you feel lighter and clear headed.

Mercury is the ruling planet of Virgo, which is about logic, communication, and our thoughts. So, yes, it's a great time to learn something new! Take that course you've had your eye on. Study your favorite topic. Pick back up that project you left behind from the beginning of the summer. Get resourceful. But, be careful not to get all up in your head about perfecting everything. Virgo's appreciate the finer details... just don't obsess over them.

Let's also redefine your daily and weekly routine. What's included? Spruce it up! Add something new you've never tried before! Maybe a new Pelaton HIIT workout, weekly dance class, Sunday home cooked dinners with friends, morning hikes, meditating by the sunset, mid-afternoon bubble baths, your options are limitless.

Whatever it is, I invite you to commit to it for the next 30 days.

See how you feel! You never know until you try, right?

Also, I don't know who needs to hear this but... it's time to clean your pillow cases, sheets, towels, and blankets. LOL!

A little deep clean never hurt nobody. Rearrange the furniture. Dust the corners of the room. Open the windows, feel the cool Fall breeze, and then sage or palo santo to cleanse and purify your space. Virgo's are Earth friendly and super crafty, so, maybe browse pinterest DIY cleaning products to use!

Also, always remember, it's never just about what the sun or moon is doing. There are many different planet transits that are going to create a huge energetic impact that will affect how we feel this month. Mars, the planet of action, aggression, and war, will be squaring (not agreeing with) Saturn, the planet of government, restrictions, and karma on August 24th. This will naturally cause some tension and frustration as Mars in it's home sign Aries, wants to move forward but obstacles may come in its' way.

Mars will then begin it's retrograde on September 9th, which will ask for us to reflect and re-evaluate our decisions and what action steps to take next. I will speak more elaborately about this retrograde as it gets closer.

Good news is, Jupiter will go direct out of retrograde on September 13th, and things will feel a lot more abundant and available for us than we've felt all summer. Doors will open. Everything you've been trying to manifest may start showing you the fruits of your labor during this time. Hallelujah! Amen.

For now, remember that it's the small things that make up the bigger picture. When you innovate the upgrades in your daily life, in the blink of an eye, everything can be different. Practice attuning yourself back to love, back to kindness, back to gratitude. As much as possible. This will bring you closer in alignment with your heart and spirit.

Until next time, I love you.

Tuesday, August 18th, 2020, Leo will be blessing us with a new moon at 10:42 PM EST.

New moons always symbolize a new beginning. A new cycle. It's the perfect time to set intentions for what we'd like to manifest for the next 6 months. Think about what goals you'd like to achieve by January 28, 2021, when it will be the Full moon in Leo.
ree

Manifestation was unfortunately put on hold for a little while. This summer was hijacked by all these retrogrades and a major eclipse season that had every astrologer cross-eyed because this type of cosmic chaos has never been seen before in any of our lifetimes. It left us all with a plethora of karmic endings and a big ass "restart" button. Now is the time to reflect, heal, grieve, and tidy up the mess of any energy leaked along the way.

August is asking us to replenish our reserves and take a breath. Leo's are heart centered and just like to have fun! Tune back into the frequency of pure, unconditional love and joy. Let it fill up your soul. Only you know what this looks like and feels like. Then, only when your cup is full, you'll feel ready to share it with the world.

It's important to note, it's never JUST about the Moon, by the way. There's always the integration of the Sun and other planets that make up parts of the bigger puzzle!

This new moon is special because the Sun, Moon, AND Mercury will all be in Leo, which amplifies our passion, drive, and lust for what we desire. Mercury invites us to ask for what we want and communicate it clearly with the universe. Mars in it's home sign, Aries, will give us the proper momentum to just go for it, but be careful not to get impatient or frustrated if our desires don't manifest right away.

Remember, there are still 5 planets retrograde: Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune. LOL and Mars is next, so take advantage while you have the motivation & focus to get things done before potentially feeling stuck again! Oh, 2020. *face palm*

But, what does this all mean?! Retrogrades slow things down and ask us to go inward to reflect on what's within to heal the parts of us that are attached to the past. Each planet represents the areas of our life where this healing integration takes place.

So, yes, this moon has fiery placements inspiring us to take the leap forward and go ALL in on our dreams but a healthy balance of activation, healing, and anchoring in trust & safety of experiencing change are all just as equally important.

Ways to honor the New Moon in Leo:
  • Drop out of your head & back into your heart: Hand to heart. 3 deep breaths. Ask your heart what it needs. Do a heart chakra meditation to open up this magical vessel of love and compassion. This is not a time to get caught up in your thoughts all confused of "what to do first". Trust where your soul is guiding you to. Whatever has been inspiring you and calling your attention but also makes you a tad bit nervous, FOLLOW THAT! Follow it all the way, babe.

  • Anchor in your desires through a grounding practice: The most important thing is that you feel safe with your desires in order for you to receive them. Write your desire down and sit with it. What emotions are coming up? Acknowledge the shadow parts that may come up and send love to release them. Breathe through the discomfort. Let it all go. Then, reaffirm safety in your body out loud and repeat any other affirmations necessary to remind you of how possible this is!

  • Write a list of tangible goals that will bring you closer to your desires: Mercury will be entering Virgo the day after this new moon so, it's time to get structured. Break down the BIG goal into smaller, bite sized pieces. Make it easy. Make it yours. Make it fun. Ask for help. Get resourceful. No dream is too big.
