Whew! Girl, how ya feeling? This Mars Retrograde is no joke. The air feels thick but the veil is ultra thin. There's resistance in making plans and frustration from lack of energy. Clarity seems non-existent and we're asked to be patient and find bliss in slowing down but, man oh man, it's so much easier said than done.
This week, there's SO much happening astrologically all at the same time. It's hard to pin-point exactly why you're feeling the way you do. Remember, Mars is not the only planet retrograde right now, just the most prevalent. However, today (9/28), Saturn turned direct after being retrograde since May 11th. This is huge! We're finally moving on.
It's closing a karmic cycle that started back in December 2017 and it wants us to reflect on the lessons we learned since then and take radical responsibility for where we are now. Saturn is the father of the Zodiac and loves to create boundaries with what's no longer in alignment with your destiny. This feels like tough love sometimes but it's for your greatest good to mature & grow. Trust the process.
Saturn also represents the government, law, career, finances, structure, and discipline. So, things will be moving along quicker in these areas if we choose to take it as seriously as it is. This is right in time for one of the most historic, important elections of our lives. So, be mindful that we're just getting started when it comes to the work that's yet to be done and the lessons that we're meant to learn.
On top of that, on September 29th, Saturn squares (not in agreement with) Mars retrograde. Mars is about being fearless and impulsive when taking action, while Saturn is about discipline and taking responsibility for our actions. This will naturally cause tension in the way you choose to move forward. Be intentional with everything that you do and make sure it is toward long term goals and not just for temporary gain.
It's also no surprise that this lands on the same day as the first presidential debate. Power struggles and heated arguments about the status and liberties of our country is the highlight of Mars squaring Saturn.
And then, LOL, to put all the puzzle pieces together, we have a full moon in Aries activating both the Mars retrograde and Mars/Saturn square. Are ya catching up yet? Shadows are coming to the surface and Chiron, the wounded healer, is asking for us to shed love to the parts of us we're still healing. As a collective, we are getting through this together. Maybe everything is going well in your personal life but you're feeling the heaviness and anxiety from everyone else. It's important to protect and ground your energy. Remember that not everything you're releasing needs a "name" to it. It's just energy that's moving through you. Give yourself permission to feel it to heal it.
Last but not least, this week ends on October 4th, when Pluto stations direct after being retrograde since April 24th. Pluto is the planet of deep transformation, death, rebirth, power, and control. During retrograde, you may have learned lessons about unhealthy attachments, addictions, and patterns of manipulation in your life. Reflect on all that has shifted in the past 5 months regarding what had to crumble and fall for you to rise again stronger than ever before. This transit will illuminate deeper understandings of what needs to shift and change in order to rebuild our foundation for our new world.
